THE FANDOM HIGHTIMES: SUMMER NEWSLETTER EDITION - SECOND ISSUE!

by Peter Griffin
So I watched the movie Gigantic this weekend. You know, the movie with boobies and ships hitting big ice cubes. “Based on a true story” my ass. I mean, it’s really obvious that it didn’t happen. They killed off Leo DiCaprio and then I see him in The Beach like two years later! Jeez, do the film makers really think we’re that stupid? He clearly didn’t die on that boat.
Oh and that old lady was a dirty selfish liar. If she gave that necklace to Bill Paxton instead of tossing it into the ocean I bet he would have enough money to erase the movie Twister from our minds.

Doctor Elliot Reid is Fandom High's First Aid instructor this summer. Most recently working as a resident at Sacred Heart - a California hospital known for its internal medicine program - Doctor Reid came to Fandom at the suggestion of her chief of medicine. They decided that expanding her horizons here by gaining experience with teaching and paperwork would improve her chances of becoming chief resident at Sacred Heart and furthering her career.
Doctor Reid takes joy in watching her students learn and develop their first aid skills. That - along with the special kind of field experience you can only gain by having a medical background in a place with regular monster attacks - remind her of why she entered the field of medicine to begin with. According to her, helping people "is a total rush."
She is currently considering both what she would like to specialize in medically and whether or not she will return to teach at Fandom in the fall. She is also looking into SuperSoakers to keep students awake during class, just in case.
So, welcome to the second summer edition of the Shipping News.
There has been quite a lot happening this summer --- and since the last edition we published.
We still have most of our cute and established couples still being cute and snuggly. That would be people like Xander and Bridge, Cole and Phoebe, Archie and Veronica, Walter and Nadia, Parker and Jarod, ... Damn it, I know we have more than that, right? Right?
Summer romances are still in the air, as evidenced by Setsuna and Jude, Peter and Willow, Tim and Gwynn, Kaylee and Joxer, Greg and Isabel,... wow, Summer seems to be a very busy time for Eros and Cupid. "So, V? How was your weekend away from Fandom, anyway?" "It was very nice, despite what your boyfriend said about it on the radio." "He didn't actually say anything. he just implied. But I'm glad you had a good time."
Not everyone has been so lucky in the romance department lately though. Fandom High supercouple Cally and Anders have parted ways, much to the sadness of all. And Marie apparently had a rather bad first date with Conner which ended with him getting a banana split dumped on his head. "Conner, what did you do to upset Marie?" "Dude, I didn't show her the pictures, I swear!"
The second session of camp has seen a return of a number of Fandom's wayward students. Ivanova is back in town and teaching a workshop , which makes a certain blonde little sister of mine quite happy I am sure. Hi, Ivanova! Welcome back! Also back in town are Marty & Angela, Zero and Broots. Yay for people coming back! We certainly have missed you guys.
