THE FANDOM HIGHTIMES: NINETEENTH ISSUE!

CHLOE SPEAKS:
Okay, I know I'm not much of a leader most of the time, but as the editor of this paper, and a Student Council member, I think that I have enough authority to say this: folks, we've got a little over two weeks left of school, and I am demanding that you all stop getting yourself put into imminent danger. Seriously, we had our fun with the zombies and the snow monsters and the vampires and the demons and all, but it has to stop. I have personally gotten way too attached to way too many of you, so much so that one more attempt against the life of a friend might make me emo. It's that bad, people! So, I'm putting my foot down here. No more trying to get yourselves killed, all right? I just can't allow it.

PHOEBE SPEAKS:
I have written a lot about how no matter what happens, we all manage to pull together in times of need or crisis. It always seems that when the chips are down, someone is always there to bring you more chips. When someone is hurt or in trouble, people pull together to see what they can do to help. We all pitch in and we always manage to pull through no matter what is going on.

I now have first hand experience with how overwhelming something like that can be when you're on the receiving end of those people from all sides pulling together to help you. People who didn't even know me or know each other worked as a team and succeeded in their mission plan. I have to say that I am very thankful for this.

I've seen a lot of things during my junior year here at Fandom. However, the one thing that will always stick out in my mind is how at the end of the day, Fandom is a home and the students and teachers therein are a sort of family.

TOWN BRUNCH!
by Veronica Mars

There's an old saying about there being no such thing as a free lunch, but here in Fandom, did you know you can get a free brunch every Sunday in town?

The administration of Fandom has organized a program where various eating establishments in town take turns hosting a Sunday brunch, which is paid for by the town. According to Sheriff Tex, the idea came about as a way to "make the voters happy." So they asked Café Fina, Luke's Diner, The Arms Hotel, Wonka's, and Jeff, God of Biscuits to participate in this program.

Sheriff Tex feels that the brunches have been a successful way of allowing townspeople and students to mingle and chat as long as they don't chat with her.

Mr. Wonka says that the brunches are a wonderful way to "spend time with the Trooper... and the other fine citizens of this town!" Luke Danes, proprietor of Luke's Diner, adds, "The brunches I've hosted have been surprisingly normal for this town."

So what are you waiting for? Drag yourself out of bed on Sunday and go have brunch! As Mr. Wonka says, there are "free chocolates for everyone!"

STUDENT COUNCIL ROUNDUP
compiled by Peter Parker

- Poker Night went well. Big thanks to Vice Principal Pierce for showing up and showing us how a pro plays.

- Prom Watch: It's this Saturday. A theme has been picked (Lost Cities), a band has been selected (remember Acting Principal Finn?), Prom Royalty is being voted on as I type this, and we have chauffeurs from town who will be transporting students to City Hall. If you don't have a date, remember, there's always the snark corner.

- Finals Coffee Bar is set, with a party on the sixth floor after finals.

- Also after finals, look for the Trivia Game Night. Expunge all knowledge on the Saturday after finals so you're set for summer.

We apologize for the lack of a column last week, but even intrepid busybodies gossip columnists are not immune to falling prey to the monstrous emo. "But as Nadia and I have now formed the Anti-Emo Squad, I assure you it won't happen again." "This is very good to know."

There have been all kinds of interesting visitors to Fandom in the last couple of weeks. We've had dancing lemurs, weetiny hugging bunnies, platypi and a very polite skeleton who was looking for cigarettes and clothing. "This place just gets weirder and weirder every day." "You say that as if it surprises you."

It's been awhile since Professor Skeeter has turned John into anything other than himself. "Aww...does this mean the new has worn off their romance?" "...dirty?" "Could be."

The double kissy-event was a rousing success and we have been requested to do it again next month year. "Too bad some of the pretty will be moving on." "You'll just have to recruit new pretty." "You must have forgotten my last attempt at recruitment for anything." In other party news, the second floor common room was host to a huge birthday bash for Aeryn, Anakin, Archie, Angela, Isabel and Peter. Happy Birthday to all of you!

In shipping news, there is much cuteness going on. As usual, Cally and Anders are in the lead. They are followed closely by Bel and Phoebe, Callisto and Angel--- who we are told would look great in a singlet, Blair and Molly, Peter and Zero, and... wtf? Veronica? "Is that true?" "Yep." "Okay..." Veronica and Logan are no longer in the running for cutest campus couple. Neither are Walter and Victor. But joining the race are Bridgey and Xander! "That is too adorable for words!" "Congrats guys!" And in further happy shipping news, Marty is back! Welcome back Marty! You've been greatly missed. By more than just Angela.

Prom is on everyone's mind. The coupled up folks are looking forward to a magical, romantic night. The single among us are scrambling for dates. Next week's column will include a section on which of these new relationships has potential! And don't forget to vote on the King and Queen and Prince and Princess.

And that concludes this week's gossip column and shipping news. In parting, we leave you with this:

The Mountie? He is still teh hawt.
