It saddens me to tell you that this is our final edition of the year because that means graduation is so much closer. If writing this piece is any indication, it's going to be very hard to say good-bye when the time comes. There is no way for me to convey just how attached I feel to this place. Please take good care of it for me, because I will be back to visit as often as I can.

This Is Not Goodbye
by: Ellie Bartowski
For some, this will be a week of lasts. Last class in high school, last final, possibly last weird Fandom moment, etc. Graduation is near, after all, and many of you will be moving on.
Then there are some who experienced a lot of firsts on this island. Specifically first rains of food product, first gremlin bite, first creepy invasion, and, for some, a first magic class. This was also the first time I ever lived away from home for so long. If there's one thing this place has taught me, though, it's that we sometimes have to make our own family, especially when things back home don't really feel like home. I just want to say thanks to those of you who made my first year here a great one. To those of you who are graduating and will be leaving this wonderfully crazy island, I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors. Or past. Wherever it is you will be returning to.
To my fellow newspaper staff members and amazing editors, it's been fun. But this is not goodbye. Just because you are graduating does not mean you'll be hearing the last from me.
